Happy Eid MubaRock - songs you are listening to this eid

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and children of all ages, this Eid-ul-Fitr proudly brings to you a range of audio albums, melodic enough to relieve you from all the oily Ramadan food indigestion. So you might as well start saving your Eidi (eid money) just to grab your most favorite disc as they are sure to deliver impulsive minutes of raging rock, ecstatic pop and everything in between.

Entertainment, clothes, food and music always have been innate elements of Eid. Music lovers have every reason to celebrate this year’s festival as some of the coolest songs chart the occasion.
So, while still in your flashy punjabis and kurtas and eating flavoured shemai with colorful roohafza and other red drinks, put on your shades and listen to some dance beats Habib and his Father Ferdous Wahid has to offer. Yes! Sangeeta has yet another compilation Obosheshe - Habib Wahid & Ferdous Wahid, for you and your kids to dance to songs like the immortal ‘Mamunia’.
Oh and hold on! While you are still wearing punjabis, listen to our very own Nagar Baul James’s eleventh solo album Kal Jamuna, released from Soundtek. Because after all, it is James who popularised the combo outfit jeans and kurta. The music is done by James himself and Prince Mahmud. ‘The music will be heavily street folk influenced by rock-ish tunes and I am sure a larger number of audiences would be able to connect with the songs,’ smiled James while commenting.
And, while your parents are still napping or watching the telefilms on TV after the rich lunch, sneak in to your bedroom, dress up in your big black combat boots, wear the skull-faced-loop waist belt, rugged stonewash denim, Levis shirt, turn on the volume of your stereo and head bang to some quality rock music in Aurthohin’s latest album. Because after a long intermission of five years, this rock band’s fifth studio album Aushomapto-1 will be released this Eid-Ul-Fitr under the banner of G-Series.
With a vision to produce the best possible sound in this album, Aushomapto-1 is co-produced by one of the most talented contemporary producers Fuad Al Muqtadir.
This fantastic compilation contains songs with compositions ranging from soft-hearted to very fierce and aggressive nu-metal tracks. The album’s super highlight would be the songs ‘Chaite Paro 2008’ with exhilarating comical lyric and the mega monster and final installation of Guti series ‘Guti - the final’. It is worth mentioning that Guti - the final is over nine minutes of sheer excitement with genres like speed, thrash metal, funk and progressive rock – all blended to become a song of epic proportion.
There would be plenty of mixed albums in the market this time and it proves how the listeners have shifted and prefers compilations made of the best works of a range of interesting artistes instead of solo albums.
Rage Records is bringing out just a treat. A mixed album Canvas, produced by Palash features artistes Partha Barua, Kona, Mahadi, Fahmida Nabi, Joy, Laura, Elita, Dipto and others.
And to present an electrifying experience with the ‘new kids on the block’, Rage Records is coming up with another mixed album - RAGE I, a rock compilation featuring the following bands - Fuad Ibne Rabbi, De-Illumination, Radioactive, Reborn, Eclipse, Overture, 489, Highway and Kalponik.
Remember Habib’s second last album Shono! from Laser Vision? Well, this time, the record label is bringing out Abar Jigay famed producer Rajib Rahman (Double R)’s hip-hop album ‘Impact’. He too is working with a fresh list of artistes and promises to make the songs fruity and juicy like the drink ‘Frutika’ so that no one lives in a lie. And it’s heavily evident from the song titles - Gorur Gari, Jhaka Naka, Jolsha, Obhishopto Tumi, Kache Asho, N.Y 2 BD, Harano Biggopti, Garbage (Recycle-bin) and more.
Record label Gaanchill, who conventionally brings out all records of the Close-Up1 contestants and winners, this time around, is bringing out a mixed compilation as well. Titled PunorJonmo, this CD also has new names Zahid featuring Nayeem, Shoma, Riyaad, Nafiz, Rana & Zahidur.
The mixed album fever has not ended yet. Now this one’s quite interesting with its international appeal. B Rock, a mixed album produced jointly by a Bangladeshi and an Indian Music company is going to hit the markets this Eid-ul-Fitr. The album is produced and marketed by G-Link Music Company of Bangladesh and Asha Audio Company of India. This album features some popular bands from both sides of the border - Shunno, De-Illumination, The Trap, Volcano, Innocence, Sustain and Bohemian representing Bangladesh while Fossils, Cactus, Krosswindz and Rain will represent the Indian contingent. This album is coordinated by Shajib of Volcano.
Tired of rocking and need some fruitilicious electro pop dance beat songs for the glitzy afternoons? Then, ride in your sports cars with revving engines, boom boxes making noise for celebrated producer Fuad’s mixed album from G-Series (name not yet decided) featuring the sensational Mila and others.
Let all these good songs wish you a very happy Eid eat mubaRock.
